George Clooney Starring in Reitman's 'Air'

28 August 2008 1:38 PM, PDT | From Rope Of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news

The simple fact that George Clooney will star in Jason Reitman's next film, Up In the Air, an adaptation he penned based on Walter Kirn's novel shows he will continue to go in different directions. This is not to say Up In the Air won't be another witty flick such as Reitman's Thank You for Smoking and Juno, it's to say Clooney wouldn't exactly fit in either of those films and leads me to believe this new film will have a completely different tone. In the flick Clooney will play an unapologetic corporate downsizer whose untethered life is consumed by collecting air miles. Reitman is set to begin production for DreamWorks and aims to make it his next film. Clooney will next be seen in the Coen brothers flick Burn After Reading and Reitman is currently producing the comedic-horror Jennifer's Body starring Megan Fox and penned by Diablo Cody.

Clooney Will Headline Jason Reitman's 'Up in the Air'

28 August 2008 7:03 AM, PDT | From Cinematical.com | See recent Cinematical news

For the longest time -- until earlier this week, in fact -- I was convinced that Jason Reitman's next directing project was Diablo Cody's horror flick Jennifer's Body. Maybe that's because at a Team Juno roundtable interview last year, the two of them talked about it like it was their project (which it is, sort of -- Reitman's producing). Anyway, it's actually Karyn "Aeon Flux" Kusama who is directing Cody's follow-up, while Reitman is moving on to helm an adaptation of Walter Kirn's Up in the Air.

I strongly recommend the novel, which is a terrific satire about a perpetually transitory businessman obsessed with collecting a million frequent flyer miles. I liked it better than Kirn's more popular Thumbsucker which was already adapted into a film. The movie could be very funny in the hands of a guy like Reitman -- sharp and insightful. It should be

Billy Bob on Elm St and Jake Gyllenhaal Goes Topless but Megan Fox Won't

21 August 2008 1:04 AM, PDT | From Rope Of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news

It's time for another geek boy roundup and this time it isn't all rumors, but there are a few to get you chattering. First off Joblo is reporting a rumor that Billy Bob Thornton is in the running to play Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, but they don't really come off as confident in the report. There is news both Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released in IMAX. Joss Whedon talks about his take on Batman had he been given the franchise. Ain't It Cool News was asked to take down their highly negative review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars by LucasFilm. Those topless shots we saw of Megan Fox from the upcoming Jennifer's Body have apparently been removed from the film. However, Jake Gyllenhaal has no problem getting all nekkid for his new

Megan Fox Nude Scene Cut From 'Jennifer's Body'?

13 August 2008 9:48 PM, PDT | From bloody-disgusting.com | See recent Bloody-Disgusting.com news

One of the most popular stories this year was when some paparazzi nailed the set of Jennifer's Body and caught sexy star Megan Fox wearing nothing but some pasties. Last Monday Fox Atomic had their first test screening of the film, in which a writer for JoBlo was in attendance. Some major news came out of the test, other than the fact that they thought it was horrid. Read on for the scoop on Jennifer's "covered" body. The story of a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her "plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation. The film was written by Diablo Cody.

Megan Fox Not Topless in 'Jennifer's Body' After All?

11 August 2008 4:04 PM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

Males from the ages of 14 - 74 just fell ill. A JoBlo reviewer who claims to have seen the new Diablo Cody horror-comedy Jennifer's Body says that the much ballyhooed Megan Fox topless scene didn't make it into the movie.

Unfortunately for the movie, at least based on this review, it sure could've used something to salvage it. I never quite know what to make of these very early reviews of test screenings, because more often than not, the audiences aren't seeing the finished product.

And in this case, while the reviewer does have his reasons for not liking the movie, he still says the performances are "pretty decent." Then he gives Jennifer's Body a three out of ten. Knowing how big a factor the performances are, something seems out of whack there.

The overall tone of the review is that this movie is "schizophrenic," jumping from comedy to horror back

1st Jen's Body review!

8 August 2008 1:00 AM, PDT | From JoBlo.com | See recent JoBlo news

Hot off the heels of the first ever Benjamin Button review , we've got another "first ever" review today - this time a look at the horror-comedy Jennifer's Body. Starring Megan Fox with a script by Juno Oscar-winner Diablo Cody. It was meant as an homage to films like Evil Dead but was it successful? "That Chilean Kid" caught a screening of the film (he was told they were the "first outside the studio" to see it) and shares with us his thoughts (some mild...

The Weekly Wrap-Up: July 19-25, 2008

27 July 2008 5:31 PM, PDT | From DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news

During the week of July 19-25, 2008, everyone was pretty much consumed by all things San Diego Comic-Con related. At the same time, I've been keeping an eagle eye out for choice tidbits not connected to Sdcc 08, and here are a few of them:

Things started out with a bang thanks to our receipt of some awesome news regarding Coffin Joe's superior performance at the Paulínia Film Festival in Brazil. Not that it's any surprise, but Encarnação do Demônio (Embodiment of Evil) won just about every award it possibly could!

Speaking of film fests, the granddaddy of them all, Fantasia, came to a close, hugely successful as always, and all three of our intrepid attendees -- McCannibal, Evil Andy, and Butane -- contributed enough recaps and reviews to keep your eyeballs busy for quite a while. I swear I'm going to get there myself one year -- hopefully 2009!

Two New Epic Posters for The Day the Earth Stood Still!

23 July 2008 9:27 PM, PDT | From firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news

Fox is really kicking our ass with posters today! Not only did they debut two fantastic posters for Max Payne and a poster for Jennifer's Body, but they've finished up the evening with two epic posters for The Day the Earth Stood Still. After I saw the two Max Payne posters, I thought that nothing else could top either of them - I was wrong. We've seen the poster on the left before (as a banner), but seeing it in high res on a poster looks a lot better. Both of these are very impressive - they really set the tone and the scale for this remake perfectly. I really enjoyed the teaser trailer and hope that this turns as good as everything looks. As with Max Payne as well, I'm concerned that it won't live up to the hype. Anyone else agree? I really love Fox's choice to release

23 July 2008 8:25 PM, PDT | From iconsoffright.com | See recent Icons of Fright news

Fox has released the first teaser poster from Jennifer's Body, due out in 2009. The flick stars Transformers uber-babe Megan Fox as the title character, as well as Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody, J.K. Simmons, Kyle Gallner (Smallville's "The Flash") & Lance Henriksen. Jennifer's Body was directed by Karyn Kusama from a script by Diablo Cody (writer of Juno). Synopsis and poster below! (Hot!)

Synopsis: When a gorgeous cheerleader is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a small Minnesota farming town, her "plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshipping rock band responsible for the horrible transformation.

Where Have I Seen That 'Jennifer's Body' Poster Before?

23 July 2008 5:40 PM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

I was excited to see the new poster for Jennifer's Body over at First Showing this afternoon. It's the new horror flick written by Diablo Cody and casts Megan Fox as some sort of naked high school sex cannibal. But then Filmonic noticed a striking similarity between the Jennifer's Body poster and a new poster for the HBO series True Blood, which was released last week. As you can see, we're going to have a new poster for Jennifer's Body pretty soon.

Lost in all of this, though is the attribution of a fairly iconic picture of Angelina Jolie, and since Megan Fox is basically Angelina 2.0, I thought I'd share this picture, which as you can see, is clearly the precursor to both posters.

The shame of it is, it's a cool concept no matter who uses it, but two posters in the same 14-day span is a little much.

First Poster for Jennifer's Body with Megan Fox

23 July 2008 3:30 PM, PDT | From firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news

The first poster for Fox Atomic's upcoming thriller Jennifer's Body has been revealed just in time for Comic-Con. I'm guessing that this will be featured on the show floor, but it honestly doesn't look too enticing (or doesn't it). A couple of guys might change their mind when they realized that those are Megan Fox's lips. In fact, I'm a bit worried that some freaky guys might use this as "practice" (don't think about it). Either way, this is the first official media related to Jennifer's Body which means we'll probably see a teaser trailer by the end of the week. If you might have forgotten, the film is a high school thriller written by Diablo Cody about a possessed cheerleader who specializes in killing her classmates. Additionally, this poster image seems stolen straight from HBO's True Blood. Which one came first? Jennifer's Body is directed by visionary filmmaker Karyn Kusama,

Jennifer's Sexy Body & One-Sheet!

23 July 2008 1:35 PM, PDT | From DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news

So, we've seen Megan Fox all sorts of almost naked in previous stories of Jennifer's Body (set visit), so trying to top that is going to be kind of hard. Maybe if we get in some photos of the demon possessed Fox ripping apart some male courtiers, then there will be a challenger.

Today we received the one-sheet for the Karyn Kusama helmed and Diablo Cody written flick ... boy does it look familiar. I am all for closeups of a nice set of bloodied up lips, however this looks exactly like the latest "True Blood" poster we saw earlier this week.

Fox Annoyed By Sexy Title

23 July 2008 12:12 PM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Megan Fox hates her position as the Sexiest Woman In The World - insisting the flattering title "annoys" her.

The Transformers actress was voted the top babe in Fhm magazine's annual list of lovelies earlier this year.

But the sexy star isn't keen to promote herself as a screen siren, and hates getting raunchy on set after her "awkward" love scenes in upcoming movie Jennifer's Body.

She tells MTV UK.com, "I'm not comfortable with it (Fhm Sexiest Woman) at all. It annoys me.

"I have a few love scenes (in Jennifer's Body). I eat and seduce everyone - boys and girls. There's a lot of kissing and craziness. It was awkward, it's always awkward and it's never fun."

Miley Cyrus Wants Racy Nudie Role?

23 July 2008 5:09 AM, PDT | From Rope Of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news

I am sure there are some child actors that have made the transformation from child star to adult star with relative ease. However, none of them are coming to mind at the moment and I still have echoes of Christian Bale from The Dark Knight interviews telling me, "I would definitely try and convince anyone in my family and near to me not to do so at such a young age." He is referring to a role he played in Stephen Spielberg's Empire of the Sun at the age of 13. Well, at the age of 11 Miley Cyrus had a role in Tim Burton's Big Fish and by the age of 14 she was Hannah Montana. Since then she has posed in racy photos for Vanity Fair and been seen online in photos many consider unbecoming for a girl her age. She is now 15-years-old and it seems she may

Megan Fox: Why I Gained 10 Lbs.

15 July 2008 10:15 PM, PDT | From PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news

Megan Fox had to gain weight for her next film – after her director deemed her too skinny. "I had to put on size for Transformers II because [director] Michael [Bay] doesn't like skinny girls," Fox, 22, said. "I had three weeks to gain weight, and I put on 10 lbs." The actress, who said she got “really scrawny” for her role in the upcoming zombie film Jennifer's Body, indulged in some of her favorite foods to gain back her curves: "You know Doughboys?" she asked of the trendy Hollywood eatery. "They make that red velvet cake. I seriously have that every night before I go to bed.

Megan Fox Bulks Up for 'Transformers' Sequel

15 July 2008 5:23 PM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

After losing a bunch of weight for the upcoming Jennifer's Body, Megan Fox was told by producers that she'd have to pack on the pounds for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Of course, we don't want her to put on too much weight; it is a Michael Bay movie, after all. Can't have a fatty in a leading role...

The Fox news was on Fox News, where Megan revealed her health and beauty secrets: "I should have toned up for Transformers but I'm really lazy. I had to put on weight...I'd lost a lot of weight and got really scrawny, but I was told I had to put on size for Transformers because Michael doesn't like skinny girls."

“I just stopped eating,” she admitted of her time working on Jennifer's Body. “I don’t eat very healthy anyway — I have a serious sugar tooth, so now I eat red-velvet
