A pretty good one!

After some disappointing episodes, I hoped that the 17th season gets back on track. And with this episode, it does. "No Vacancy" is my favorite of the season so far. It's not a great episode, but the mystery does impress.

Let's start with the good aspects.

. The production values of the episode are great. The music fits the scenery, the direction's solid and so is the acting.

. The mystery is very compelling this time around. There are multiple surprising twists and turns, which kept me intrigued. The solution with the congressman being guilty was satisfying enough, even though a bit more explaining couldn't have hurt.

But....

. The humor does not always land and comes off cringe-worthy at times. The romance between Bishop and Torres is awkward- just like Jimmy says:" There is no chemistry here." I do not like the romance plotline at all.

Overall, a pretty good episode.

7/10 HK.

After the last horrifying episode I am so glad to see they returned to the good NCIS of who done it and why. The side story of Gibbs' new friend is great and I am really liking that. The remake of the Ziva and Tony romance is not so good. Why they think they need to do that I have no clue. They should give it up. It does not play well.

I like the writing - and acting. Worth the watch. The Ziva element is elusive this season, but this storyline at least kept me guessing which is hard to do with the decades of mysteries our tv-film lives are saturated with. And I liked how the beloved leads continued growing like real people over time. I found myself laughing a lot, and caught off guard.

So annoying

Nick and Ellie relationship is so annoying and silly. It doesn't feel fun to watch compares to Tony and Ziva. Casey, again can't matches Abby and also should give more role to Palmer and get rid of Mallard and Jack Sloane characters. Luckily, we don't see ghost (or angel) like NCIS New Orleans.

Warning: Spoilers
There was actually an interesting premise tonight with the hidden cameras in the motel.

Then they ruined it with bad comedy and a dating plotline even That 70's show wouldn't give Wilmer.

Didn't they do this plot line already?

Just because your male and female leads are both attractive, doesn't mean they should have a thing for each other. God forbid a TV show work out a plot line that requires more thought or-truly depict a sibling type relationship that might happen with actual professionals. They seem to be pushing Torres and Bishop together and I feel like this theme has been played out already on the show.

Beyond Dumb

Reads like a junior high school romance novel. This is utterly horrible. Did the writers go on leave for the holidays? I was so excited to see Ziva return, but this season has been disappointing, to say the least.
