I know the John Oliver fans (of whom I used to count myself most definitely one) aren't going to like thinking about but when did our favorite brand of intelligent honest balanced current affairs with humor turn into something with a very slanted agenda. How can you do a show like this without addressing the issue of overpopulation. It's all well and good to beat up on China, every one is doing it but their one child policy was to address the unsustainable population growth that the rest of the world doesn't want to contemplate. LWTWJO acts like the myth of sustainable infinite growth on a limited planet isn't a myth or an issue at all. According to this program everyone should be able to have as many children as they want because it has no impact on the planet or us. China has made many mistakes but this show read like propaganda rather than an honest look into the issues of the one child policy. It was click bait titillation, shock headlines with no content or thought. How did they bait and switch us with this? Give us our real brain back.
