Superb Follow Up From The Premiere
jigsaw-9119 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
After being shocked by a extremely good presentation, I was expecting a little let down in the next episode. But I was surprised again.

It's true that this installment is not as terrific as the first one, but is a superb follow up: keeps the audience at the edge of their seats with incredible suspense and tension in too many moments (like how Jack recognizes the sniper and how Jack finds out Tony and fights against him surprisingly soon), we can enjoy how all the characters development (how the President must face the situation in Sangala) and it builds up some coming and pretty importance events (like the face to face of Tony and Jack).

Everything surrounded by the excellence of the writers, completely new enemies and threats, interesting twists and a heart pounding cliffhanger.

Honestly, I can't wait for the next: Tony's interrogation.

9,4/10.

Where's the Device
Hitchcoc1 July 2019
We know, of course, nothing will be resolved in the second episode of the season. Jack is at the scene of the shooting of their intended contact and realizes that one of the men leaving the scene, is wearing the wrong shoes. He and the FBI agent go in pursuit. Tony is one object, but a device designed to mess up communications all over the world is still missing. There is an exciting conclusion (as always). Meanwhile there is genocide taking place in a small African country and the President is about to launch a coup. We find out, however, the two event are connected.

Warning: Spoilers
9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.-As the sniper holds his ground Renee calls Malice to inform him of their current situation, he instantly sends a SWAT team to their location and has Janis lock down the building the sniper is inside of. Jack is ordered by Renee to leave the battleground and stay with a fellow agent in his van for his potential actions and his current attitude. The sniper from the inside knows that he's in water cooler situation, luckily for him a man sent by Tony is posing as an FBI agent and assists him outside, making it out okay. Jack, after having an enamored conversation with the agent with him, asks for a a few minutes outside, their he notices the sniper walk out of the area untouched, Jack informs Renee but asks her not to take immediate action, they agree to slowly follow the sniper to his destination point, in hopes to find Tony. As they follow the sniper Renee puts her career onto he line and lies to Malice. Malice, concerned, doesn't believe her and asks Janis to follow them with a tracking device program in her computer software. Meanwhile Tony and his henchmen pull one on the government by having the two planes almost nicking each other, they promise more cybernetic attacks soon, and those times will be serious and people will get hurt. Preident Taylor continues her meetings discussing plans to a surprise invasion on Gen. Manjumba and is briefed on the potential hazards that could occur if they do not act fast. At the same time she is briefed on the tech terrorists, she knows the situation and wants it taken care of but Gen. Manjumba is at her most concerns at the moment. She is even having a meeting with the leader of that country to talk strategically. Meanwhile her husband Henry goes to have a private conversation with Samantha regarding the death of his son and the oodles of money she mysteriously has. Much to Jack's small belief Tony is not in this alone, he is working with Emmerson, as he has for the last three years in a row. And both are working for Gen. Manjumba. Jack and Renee arrive on the scene where they encounter the sniper and duke it out with a few other men in the area aboard Tony's hideout, a boat at the docks. After disposing of Tony's men Jack and Renee investigate the boat, Renee finds the device Lathan built for them, it's not working. Before Jack and really ask Tony a serious question Malice arrives in a copter with armed agents.

This episode deals a lot with the subject matter of trust, and putting the care for others ahead of some objectives.

The acting is superb( Especially from Garoflao, Feore, and Sutherland), the story structure is solid enough, and the twists are quite surprising.

I especially liked the way they handled the political element and and the conflicts President Taylor had with.

So far, so good.

10/10.
