This early talkie Grantland Rice sports short -- he would produce more than 400 of them by his death in 1954 at the age of 73 -- spotlights the crystal clear waters of Florida and champion swimmers and divers, including future Tarzan, Johnny Weissmuller, doing their stuff to Tschakovski waltzes.
There's some fine underwater photography by Ernest Corts, who would specialize in water shoots. Rice attributes the excellence to the clean waters he works in, but given the carefully framed shots, the slow-motion work, and a lovely sequence of Weissmuller and lady swimming champion Martha Norelius swimming in tandem, I think we can give Corts some credit.
