As the world continues to overheat, a reflective Brazilian piece that subtly parallels the perils of the planet with changes to tradition, culture and habitat through the eyes of an indigenous soul.

Between tradition and the big city

Very delicate film on native people traditions and the challenges "modern" society imposes to them. Cinematography is splendid and Regis Myrupu and Rosa Peixoto prove themselves talented and charismatic actors. The natural way native American actors spoke in a native language, together with that immersive cinematography of straight lines and rustic houses, give the movie a quasi-documentary atmosphere. Story is very well and carefully told, until the end, as symbolic as the fever itself. Congratulations to Maya Da-Rin for her fantastic direction.
