It's a documentary of the D-Day invasion. It's pretty standard. It has participants from all sides including an African American soldier and a proud SS soldier. It's got archival footage as well as re-enactments. I don't recognize some of the footage although they are plenty familiar. The unfamiliar comes with the African American soldier. It's not that I'm surprised by the presence of the African Americans. It's the barrage balloons that they're carrying. I never considered that men would be going to battle with balloons but I guess that actually happened.
