The puzzle pieces continue to be difficult to fit.

Warning: Spoilers
Part two of this very suspenseful TV movie is a lot more complex, but it's never confusing as things begin to come together with minor characters from part one (such as Larry Hagman, Jim Davis and Robert Young) getting the chance to reveal what they know and their part in the bizarre world changing (and threatening) plot. It involves the presence of a secret code that highly makes president Richard Widmark seem all the more suspicious and possibly deranged. Hagman's character has a lengthy explanatory sequence where he pretty much confesses everything, yet there's still enough kept from the audience to keep them from putting all the pieces together.

The episode starts with Betty White playing a TV reporter named...Betty White, just two years before her comeback on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", having not done much acting since the 1950's. That scene does provide a big laugh, but there's nothing to laugh over the corruption going on in the story. Add this one to the many big screen movies from the 60's dealing with either possible doomsday scenarios or threats of a new world order. Audiences didn't need to leave their living room to watch this. They just had to pace up and down for 21 hours after part one to see how it concluded.
