I'm surprised no one but the ADD guy have commented on this. I think it is a highly significant episode. It once again centers around Nicky. We see him fighting his demons again and Kevin trying to find a way to get into his head. Nicky has been seeing a therapist who connects with him, but she is transferred, and he goes into a downward spiral. This is where he throws the chair through the window of the facility. While they are at the meeting, they encounter the woman who was in the Marines. She is so badly damaged. She can't laugh or smile and can't show negative emotions. She only has a volatile, hair trigger temper. She is going through a divorce. Kevin gently helps her without judgment and gets her to realize there are other people with problems, even though they weren't engendered in war. We see that Kevin's fame for that stupid sitcom is a real burden. People won't leave him alone. In other places, as Beth tries to have grand opening for her dance studio, there is a horrible smell, a dead critter in the walls. Randall must confront Beth's mother who tries to run the show by herself and he comes up with a solution. Kate and Toby take little Jack to a music class where it is loud and he cries they have to leave. But there is a really nice conclusion at the beach.

It's a good thing I take beta blockers so I don't react very much as this show jerks me around from flashbacks to the present and following every character from one tantrum to another! I guess it is not the best show to binge watch. I guess I need to take a break from it!
