So, to start honestly, this series was a bit boring and uninteresting in the first few episodes. That was because in my opinion it was confusing and way too slow paced. But after the story started to move forward, it got interesting really fast. I was hooked after that.
I loved how the relationship between Go Weiyi and Situ Mo started and developed. They were really domestic right from the beginning and they matched perfectly. Their romance was natural and flowed like second nature to them. This type of storytelling with romantic is really rare, so it was fresh and that's actually why I got so addicted to them in the first place.
Also I like how there weren't that many stereotypical conflicts between the characters in the series. The three-way-drama was non-existing, but still important for the story and the main leads themselves didn't have the usual fights. Once again, this made the series really fresh and addicting to watch.
I have to comment about the actors as well. There really wasn't any bad moment in my opinion. Both Lin Yi and Xing Fei did really great at portraying the feelings of the characters and the atmosphere of the scenes. I felt every emotion I was supposed to. Sometimes I find acting a bit awkward in Chinese series, but that was not the case in this one. I love and respect both these actors.
Definitely worth the watch and would recommend 10/10. Nine stars because of the slow paced storytelling and some awkward ways the story was cut and fast forwarded.
