Sweet little show

Greetings from Lithuania.

We are sure not getting any younger! This was a constant idea that was circulating by brain when i was watching second episode of "The Kominsky Method" of season 2. I mean its not every day you will get a chance to see 4 old actors in one place, actors which you saw when they were young - when do know the 2 leads but to see Paul Reiser & Jane Seymour in one show - that was simply sweet! And sweet is the best word that describes this show for me.

Well that was an amazing reunion! Loved the banter and the hard hits, even over the phone Turner and Douglas still have great chemistry. Decent episode storyline and some funny moments.

Chapter 10

Warning: Spoilers
The opening scene was not as funny as they thought it was, but this was a solid episode.

This program captures aging and that is not always going to be glamorous, as a viewer it is not always going to be entertaining, but it works overall. Funny and real at the same time here.

Great Episode

I loved the byplay as Sandy meets the man of his daughter's dreams. All those references to 60's and 70's that went right over her head. Sandy comes in loaded for bear and then realizes that by just being himself and treating a very talented man with respect, his greatest fear is eliminated. The thing with Arkin and Jane Seymour was also quite nice. Wonderful timing and very tuching.

The Arkin Substitute
TheFearmakers30 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's no spoiler to say that Alan Arkin dies at the end of this season (no, actually, he's already dead at the beginning of the next season) but I'll make this a spoiler protected review either way, in case someone is watching this from beginning to end, all three seasons.

They say that Arkin decided from the start to only be in two seasons, which is pretty confounding given this is a three season series. Or perhaps that's WHY this only lasted three seasons?

Either way, this episode introduces who will replace Alan Arkin, and the first time watching, months ago, it seemed just a reason to bring Paul Reiser back onto the television screen. He's likeable enough as an old nice guy who gets stoned (he's marrying Sandy's young daughter) but he overacts just a tad. Doesn't feel as genuine as Douglas or Arkin and almost seems to be trying to "steal scenes" or something.

Either way, to back my Arkin Substitute theory... even Arkin's character gets jealous about Douglas's friendship with Reiser, so... anyway....

Oh behalf the the state of Alabama, you're WRONG about us
charthegar-130 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Again Chuck Lorre is up to his bullying. Why $hit on our state? You could've said the line that her son was in Iraq, Pakistan, ANYWHERE in the Middle East...yet you choose to bully Alabama? In AMERICA? Really? Small-minded writer.
