Roy Figgis normal demeanour, may well appear to be brash, and sure of himself.

But scratch the surface and a totally different persona appears, if not exactly that of a hypochondriac.

Most certainly a worrier especially when, he happens to overhear a conversation, between Doctor Thorp and Gupta.

With absolutely no evidence whatsoever, Roy Figgis becomes instrumental in spreading, concern and panic among, his fellow ward patients.

This is hardly something that he is a stranger at, and Roy Figgis is certainly not one to do things by half. For when he pokes his nose into something, he never knows when to stop.

The Rumour

This sitcom was originally broadcast in an early evening slot. Family viewing time, yet Glover is reading Penthouse magazine in this episode. Not sure if hospital wards allow you to read girly magazines. He was reading Playboy in the previous episode. When I say reading, I presume he was looking at the pictures.

It seems Dr Thorpe has a dog called Victor and the dog has one paw in the grave. Gupte thinks that Thorpe is talking about his son. Figgis overhears the conversation and thinks he is the one dying.

Later given how Thorpe or Gupte speaks to them both Glover and Norman think they are the ones to go, especially when Gupte is looking for organ donations.

Norman unhappy at work contemplates telling his boss where to get off.

A silly episode of rumour and misunderstanding. Dr Thorpe tells Gupte he would never give his son a silly name like Gupte, he called him Tarquin instead. I don't believe it.
