As Always... bloody hilarious... Joanna and Alan - comic genius! But unless there's gonna be a third series i felt a little bit let down by it. What is Mac Dying of? (Cancer i'm guessing from the hints you get) When is he going to die? Do Joanna and Alan actually die or just end up on a beach naked somewhere? I was so looking forward to Caroline and Mac finally getting together, but felt is was emotionless and weird - flying off in to the sky with some balloons?? Rubbish! Green wing is the best show on TV: The best actors the UK has to offer, excellent writing, and its normally so perfectly balanced between genuine drama and hilarious surreal humour... not this episode tho.. Shame...

British humour at its best!!

First of all, this episode has a duration of approximately 90 minutes. So before you start watching this you might want to prepare yourself for 90 minutes of pure laughter! It's that great to take precautions!!
I bought the DVD's a couple of weeks ago and I have to say "Green Wing" is now in my top 3 comedy shows that I've ever seen! (it probably figures it had to be British) But when I saw this special (released in Belgium on 29/12/06) I was astonished! They had been able to top all the other episodes!! It's full of ingenious twists and it keeps being hilarious throughout the whole 90 minutes, it isn't boring for a minute!! In general I'm not the one that's laughing out loud, but damn now I was LMAO! Especially with the scenes including Guy Secretan!
Every character reaches it's climax, the gags are more brilliant than ever, the storyline is just absolutely hilarious!! If you liked previous episodes you can't get your hopes high enough for this flick, it won't let you down! Only the title can be misleading, I don't see any link with Christmas except the time of release.But nevertheless, it's a GREAT Christmas/new year's present!!
