Sarah digs into the post-Angel careers of David Boreanaz, Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Charisma Carpenter and more...
It’s been about a decade since the last episode of Angel, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off series about the vampire with a soul, aired. The final episode of season five, Not Fade Away, first appeared on Us television screens on 19 May 2004. That seems simultaneously like a very long time ago, and not very long ago at all, because time is vast and human brains are small and fallible, but it’s safe to say that in TV years, it’s a pretty long goddamned time.
The men and women behind the characters we used to spend one night a week with have gone on to other things – some bigger and better, others kind of rubbish – and unless you’re a particularly obsessive superfan, you...

Director Josh Eisenstadt (Dark Reel) firmly states that this film is not a horror film and instead Spreading Darkness is more psychological thriller. The first teaser does show one man, Stu (Eric Roberts), under some distress, while he talks about being followed, or stalked to another character, Mark (James Duval). His torment is heightened as his dead wife (Tara Cardinal) beckons him from the grave. Have a look at the first clip for this film below, with more details to follow.
The synopsis for the film, courtesy of the Coventry Telegraph:
"Spreading Darkness is a dark psychological thriller about Stu Undercoffler (Roberts), a man who seems to have it all. That is, until the people he took it from decide they want it back. Stu seems to have it under control, but then visions of his dead wife (Cardinal) become more and more real" (Coventry).
Release Date: 2011.
Director: Josh Eisenstadt.

The Freeway Killer is a film developed by Bleiberg Entertainment for a February 16, 2010 DVD release via Image Entertainment. A film that chronicles the real life murder spree of serial killer William Bonin, the Freeway Killer is brilliantly portrayed by Scott Leet (Dark Reel). A film that also covers rape, kidnapping, and the early sexual abuse of William Bonin the Freeway Killer asks a question of the viewers - why?
The Freeway Killer begins with Bonin (Scott Leet) in jail recalling his past murderous exploits to the mother of one of the victims. Unfolding in storied flashbacks the film graphically displays some of the murders that took place in Orange County and Los Angeles between the years 1979-80. This real life horror film ironically does not portray some of the more graphic instances of rape and torture in an attempt to focus on the entertainment...

The last movie I saw Edward Furlong in was Dark Reel, and he looked like stir-fried shit. So it is not really surprising that according to his ex-wife, he likes to suck the glass dick from time-to-time. TMZ got their hands on a restraining order filed by, Rachael Kneeland, who filed for divorce from Eddie in July. She claims Eddie "grabbed me, bruised me, pushed me, made threats of more violence, left messages saying he would hire people to come and beat me with chains and bats."...

To celebrate the DVD release of Dark Reel on March 10th, we chatted it up with writer/director Josh Eisenstadt who had the inconceivable task of directing some of horror's heaviest hitters. Under his command were the great Lance Hanriksen, Tony Todd, Tiffany Shepis, Rena Riffel, Edward Furlong and Mercedes McNab in a dark horror comedy about a devout horror fan, Adam (Furlong) who wins a walk-on role in Connor Pritchett's (Henriksen) production company's latest film starring Adam's favorite scream queen (Shepis). It's a dream-come-true until the ghost of a 1958 murder victim, actress Scarlett May, resurrects and wreaks havoc on those who've wronged her and the set becomes a bit of a nightmare. Hit the...

Due to the holidays and our server migration just after the first of the year, the Wrap-Up has been on a bit of a hiatus. Well, we're back now -- a year older but still bigger and badder than ever. Let's take a look at what went down during the week of January 10-16, 2009.
Along with the New Year, we got a new Cold Spots, something that always warms the cockles of my heart! Take a trip with Scott to Billy’s Bar and Grill in Aberdeen, Washington, for another of his ghostly tales.
The trailer for the Last House on the Left redux found its way online, and I have to say it looks promising. Not great by any means, but not sucking is certainly better than what most of us were expecting.
Unfortunately, hardly anyone has such high hopes for Halloween 2, but a couple of Zombie's casting choices...

North American Motion Pictures announced it will be releasing Josh Eisenstadt's horror-comedy Dark Reel on DVD and Blu-Ray March 10th. Edward Furlong stars as Adam Waltz, an avid movie fan who has won a walk-on role in a film produced by studio chief Connor Pritchett (Lance Henriksen) and featuring Tara Leslie (Mercedes McNab). Thinking his luck has changed, Adam suddenly finds himself the star in a real-life struggle to survive a murderous, behind-the-scenes killing spree and Pritchett's low-budget thriller suddenly buzzing with publicity. As Detective Shields searches for answers, will Adam live or will he end up as a final cut? Tiffany Shepis and Tony Todd co-star; look for Rick Baker in a cameo as well. The DVD art for Dark Reel (review) has shown up online, and for reasons that will be obvious when you click on it to see it full-size, we’re pretty damn happy with it!
Dark Reel stars Tiffany Shepis, Eddie Furlong, Tony Todd and Lance Henriksen in a film about all the things that can go wrong on the set of a horror movie. Fulong plays a B-movie fan who wins a walk-on role in the latest film starring Cassie Blue (Shepis). He thinks his luck has changed, and continues to get better, as one by one the cast is offed and his part gets bigger and bigger. But, as with all things involving the magic of moviemaking, all is not what it seems.
I don’t know about you guys, but I hear Shepis is in something and I’m instantly interested. Maybe it’s because the girl is...
