Hector Penate, the baseball coach who alleges he broke up Larry King's marriage, has agreed to take a televised lie detector test in a bid to prove he's telling the truth about his affair with Shawn Southwick.
Penate appeared on TV in America in the days after newsman King and his wife both filed for divorce, and revealed he had enjoyed a torrid romance with Southwick under her husband's nose.
He told news show Entertainment Tonight that his lover had even talked about divorcing King long before the couple split earlier this month.
And now the Latino hunk has returned to the TV news show in an effort to prove he's not making his story up.
The televised lie detector session will air on Thursday.

Step aside, Michelle "Bombshell" McGee. There's a new tatted-up fame-seeking marriage-wrecker in tabloid town.
Hector Penate is elbowing his way past Jesse James' and Tiger Woods' mistresses into the tabloid limelight by spouting more intimate details on his alleged affair with Larry King's wife, Shawn Southwick.
The former Little League coach for King and Southwick's sons, Chance, 11, and Cannon, 9, sat down with Et to dish about his steamy affair in an interview set to air Wednesday, April 21.
"We got back in the car, and we kind of locked eyes, and we just started kissing," he says of one heated encounter. The aspiring actor (now there's a shocker) also adds that Southwick talked about divorcing King "all the time," saying, "Don't worry, he's going to die soon."
Yikes.
Penate, 31, also claims Southwick, 50, knew about the affair King was having with her sister.
In fact, in another interview with...

If Larry King allegedly had an affair with his wife's sister, then his wife had an affair with their kids' baseball coach, it has been claimed. Hector Penate claims he had a steamy sex relationship with Shawn Southwick.
Last week, the TV icon and his eighth wife filed their own divorce papers within moments of each other. They announced this week that they are temporarily suspending the proceedings in a bid to talk it all out.
The divorce was allegedly prompted by affairs on both sides, with King having a relationship with Southwick's younger sister Shannon, and she with their two kids' baseball coach. Shannon and Southwick both denied the allegations.
However, it seems like Penate doesn't want to shut up any time soon. He insists that he and Southwick were lovers and even had sex on King's bed.

Thought that Larry King's split from wife #7, Shawn Southwick, was going to be just another standard-issue divorce for the celebrated talk-show host? Prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Amid allegations from Southwick that King had been fooling around with her sister, Shannon Engemann (allegations that Engemann denies), it turns out that Southwick may have been playing around on the side too—with their sons' little league coach. Hector Penate, who used to coach the couple's two boys, Chance and Cannon, told TMZ back in September that "mistakes were made" with Southwick, and it doesn't appear that he was talking about the pointers he...

The rumors about talk show host Larry King having an affair with his wife Shawn Southwick King's sister have been floating around Hollywood for several years.
"But the rumors started to gain more strength in the past six months," according to The Dish Rag's exclusive source, a longtime friend of Shawn's.
TMZ reports that Shawn discovered her husband had bought expensive gifts for her lookalike sis, Shannon Engemann, like a $160,000 car and lots of Cartier jewelry.
Larry used his credit card and when Shawn reportedly saw the statements, she saw a Cartier diamond necklace, and told a friend, "He never gave me a diamond necklace."
For her part, Shannon says Larry has been very generous to the whole family and denies the affair to Access Hollywood.
Larry has filed divorce papers seeking shared custody of their two sons, Cannon, 9, and Chance, 11, and asks the court to deny his wife spousal support.
