Once a hack...

Warning: Spoilers
...always a hack. So goes the career of Braun fils, son of a legend and himself an Adult industry favorite -need I add that favoritism/payola is standard practice? At arm's length, I needn't kowtow to such corrupt behavior, and find this early Axel Braun feature as crummy as his recent big- budget so-called parodies.

It's mechanical sex disguised with a ridiculous story line, for which no screen credit is listed, to protect the guilty. From the BTS short subject in which former cop turned prostitute turned porn actor turned mainstream extra playing hundreds of cop roles Jack Lawrence/Steve Crest is comically reading his actual script, which gives him 4 lines as a sex slave, proving that they weren't just winging it for over 2 hours.

I note that AVN nominated Texas Presley for an award, but she is saddled with a nonsensical role as Realtor by Day, Fetish Queen by Night. Braun's cynical approach has several characters either working or doubling as prostitutes, and the features ends on a nasty note whereby the two heroines played by Presley and fetching beauty Gina Austin gloat over their "slutty" activities. Yes, when he isn't directing all-sex junk or ripoffs called parodies, Braun is reinforcing the inverted notion that being a slut or at least behaving in what one imagines is slutty fashion is the highest calling of women.

Actual lead role, though she doesn't get the billing and is not even featured in the idiotic BTS short subject, is taken by Haley Scott. In terms of XXX content, she delivers with plenty of anal sex and even d.p.'s with masked Chris Charming and Steven French, at a stereotypical swingers den called The Dark Room.

Male lead Kris Knight attempts to navigate through an unconvincing (both in terms of character and situation) role of a guy who has become sexually estranged from his wife (aforementioned Haley, hardly believable given her sexual prowess on screen with others here) and seeking advice from his ex played by Gina. Why he would turn to her is left hanging, as are similar relationships among the cast.

Jasmine Byrne is solid as a hooker, whose mixed ancestry provides the feature with borderline IR content. Texas's role is showy, and guest star Sophia adds bosomy value in a sex scene at the Dark Room club with Reno, sort of a live sex show. Braun idiotically stages this against a bright green wall resembling a green screen for SPFX shoots, but no such projections ever occur. End credits sloppily bill Reno as Darkroom guy while correctly calling Sophia "Greenroom girl", when they should both be tagged identically.

Climax of the piece is group sex with Gina, Texas and Haley all ganging up on lucky Kris, with issues of finagling and duplicity washed away by him servicing all three. Moral of the story seems to be that anal sex (which he has with his wife in this oddball configuration of cast members) solves everything.

Most crew credits are patently phony names, surprising to me because during this period (2005) hundreds of porn features have familiar names listed for assignments ranging from cinematographer to p.a. Perhaps they, like the writer, didn't want this junker on their resumes. (Exception is makeup artist Hilda Levierge, whose other credits are all mainstream.) And what about that dumb, irrelevant title "Orgasmika"?
