I can't STAND the character of Howard, so this episode, in which Pearl gives him a real scare, is a treat.
Both Pearl AND Marina deserve better than Howard who's a nasty hypocritical little creep. Here Marina gets an outing with a cleaned-up Compo (who for all his faults is a nicer man than Howard) while Pearl gets a chance to dress up and enjoy worrying her worthless husband. Frankly I wish there had been more episodes like this one.
