While not an original Spider-Man villain, in this episode Peter Parker/Spider-Man tackles the supervillain Dr. Victor von Doom aka Doctor Doom (Doom originally is an archnemesis to the Fantastic Four).
While Doctor Doom certainly is a great character and his voice actor perfectly channels James Earl Jones' Darth Vader with his metallic voice, this episode in which Doom tries to mind-controll the world's leaders is just not as strong as its predecessor.
To reach Doom, Spidey teams up with an elderly pilot and then battles Doom's robotic minions. Most of the episode just feels "off" and, while still entertaining, does not fit Spider-Man as perfectly as it could be.
