WITH GREAT POWER...
Spider-Man and his amazing friends, Iceman and Firestar, face Shocker at the same time that we are told the story of the ORIGIN of Spider-Man as a superhero and we can appreciate how it didn´t start, like in the case of other MARVEL heroes like the Fantastic Four, immediately after getting their powers, or like in the case of the X-Men, after meeting a mentor who taught them how and what for to use the powers they happen to have been born with.
Spider-Man was a smart, diligent and somewhat shy teenager who was given the powers of a spider, after being transferred to him actually by a spider during a radiation experiment of a science exhibit. Having been humiliated and bullied in the past, young Peter Parker (Spider-Man´s real name as you may know) found a way of becoming more extrovert while using his new powers under a mask. Nevertheless, as if his fate had changed after getting his Spider-Powers, Pete soon learns a hard lesson that constitutes maybe the most famous motto of the MARVEL Universe and one that you for sure already know by heart:
"WITH GREAT POWER...
COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY"
