It work, because it's a story that many of us can relate to.

Rudy struggles to come to terms with the death of her goldfish Lamont, when her siblings fail to offer any sympathy or support, Cliff decides to hold a memorial service for Lamont.

This episode works so well, because it's just so true to life, how many of us as kids suffered terribly at the death of a fish, dog, cat or even a hamster, at that age its almost unbearable to deal with.

Full of sharp one liners, and you just cannot dispute the comic presence or amazing timing of Bill Cosby, he's very funny here. That scene where Cliff explains how Rudy picked the fish out, just magical.

It works even better, because of the delightful, sweet performance of Keshia Knight Pulliam, who is just delightful as Rudy.

It's excellent.

8/10.
