Another slow episode that yet contains a storyline that has some interesting points arrives in Smallville's 105th episode.
Lana is depressed, and feels abandoned by everybody who used to be close to her. Desperate to see her parents, she fritters away her money while in college to take a drug that allows her to get near to the other side past death, and almost see her parents. The closer she gets to death and almost sees them, the more addicted she gets to the drug. In his attempt to save her, Clark gets injected the drug, and his deceased father Jonathan speaks to him. Beforehand, Clark goes to central America to investigate the whereabouts of nemesis Milton Fine.
The viewers can truly see what a low point Lana has hit in her life, to the point that she has gone from a top student full of happiness to a young woman vying for some semblance of love, no matter what the cost. It is intriguing to see Clark get inspired by his father one final time.
