This is one of the most beloved episodes of Pokémon I ever seen.
Prior to when I first watched this episode, Charizard was one of my favourite Pokémon, one favourite of the fire-types.
Not only to Ash, I initially didn't like Charizard being a disobedient rebellious douche even embarrassment at the Indigo League and it gives dangerous Flamethrower attacks on people - yet Ash is the trainer: it's his responsibility.
Charizard getting frozen solid is beyond brutal and should be considered possible murder of a Pokémon, unless Ash has to thaw his out. Ash rubbing his hands raw looks nasty like receiving fiction burn on skin.
With Team Rocket attack with circular saw, the big hothead dragon learns Rage attack which is new element added to earning loyalty and respect to his trainer.
Really like put in the Series 2 theme tune "Pokémon World" played during the rematch against Poliwrath and you've got one of the best Pokémon episode!
