Following hot on the tail of our article about Courtney Love blowing the whistle on Harvey Weinstein in 2005, here's another hot little tidbit. Screenwriter Scott Rosenberg, having written memorable movies for Miramax such as Beautiful Girls and Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead, decided to write an ode to Weinstein on his Facebook timeline.
Deadline has taken sharing the entire post, but it's pretty much easy to summarize. Besides all the hard hitting f-bombs, the ode speaks to how everybody knew, despite ignoring it, what kind of man Weinstein was. Some key descriptions are Weinstein's hunger or appetite, and it wasn't for food.
Not that he was raping. No, that we never heard. But we were aware of a certain pattern of overly-aggressive behavior that was rather dreadful. We knew about the man’s hunger; his fervor; his appetite. There was nothing secret about this voracious rapacity...

One the questions surrounding the ongoing Harvey Weinstein scandal is how much those around him knew and were complicit in his behavior. There general reaction by those inside and outside his companies — Miramax and The Weinstein Company — has been that they didn’t know the extent of Weinstein’s abuses and assaults, but one screenwriter is suggesting that everyone knew what was going on.
Scott Rosenberg, who penned the Miramax pictures “Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead” and “Beautiful Girls” wrote about his time with Weinstein during the producer and mogul’s ’90s heyday in a since removed (at least from public view) Facebook post.

Scott Rosenberg, a screenwriter who has worked on Miramax films such as “Beautiful Girls” and “Things to do in Denver When You’re Dead,” has taken to Facebook to voice his opinions on the Harvey Weinstein scandal that has been rocking Hollywood for the past few weeks. Rosenberg says that he was at Miramax for what he calls the “golden age,” when films like “Pulp Fiction,” “Shakespeare in Love” and “Good Will Hunting” were made and released. He also said that he was young and “sure he had struck gold” by working with the Weinstein brothers, Harvey and Bob. Now,...

Hulu has released the first official teaser trailer for Marvel's Runaways and this show actually looks like it's gonna be a solid series worth checking out. The series has a very different vibe than anything else we are seeing in the Marvel shows and I honestly dig what I'm seeing. The show obviously won't be for everyone, but I'm definitely looking forward to checking it out. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think.
Runaways is based on the comic created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona and this is the brief plot summary of the series:
Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? “Marvel’s Runaways” is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe–their parents.
The parents are part of a criminal organization known as The Pride,...

In news that excites all followers of Julian McMahon's career, it has been announced by Marvel that he has been cast in the new Runaways Hulu series.
He will be playing the part of Jonah in the series. A mysterious figure who plays an important role in the children's rebellion against their parents. I assume it will be evil, just because it's Julian McMahon, but maybe he is good. There has yet to be any evidence that he's a big bad. As far as I know, there was no Jonah in the comic series of Runaways, so it's a huge mystery as to what role he fully plays. But until then, I've got my bets on evil. Maybe Daimon Hellstrom. That would be an interesting role to play. Another Demon.
I feel like McMahon is a great fit for the series, especially if he does play a villain. McMahon...

I'm actually kinda looking forward to Marvel's new series Runaways. There was a promo that leaked out earlier in the summer that you can check out below, and I liked what I saw. The series looks like it's going to be very different from the Marvel series.
During Hulu's presentation at the Television Critics Association, Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb talked about the new series briefly and explained how it is of the McU.
"[It's] The Oc of the Marvel universe. We didn’t view it as a superhero show. We viewed it as a coming-of-age drama, family show inside Marvel."
It shouldn't come as a surprise that the show is being compared to The Oc as the Runaways co-showrunner Josh Schwartz, is also the creator of The Oc. I'm actually ok with all of this. I thought The Oc was a decent show. I guess if there's any Marvel series...

“The Carmichael Show” has never been afraid to present its audience with an idea or moment that cuts through the belly laughs and goes right for something that feels, for lack of a better term, real. Selma Blair will not be shamed for her gray hair. The star was snapped by paparazzi in-between root touch-ups, and when the photos were called out online, she confronted the issue like a total pro.
After a recent article highlighted the star’s silver roots, she was quick to respond with a post on Instagram. The star shared the photo of her overgrown roots, writing, “Happy Monday. Things to do: turn off Google alert. Stop eating four cupcakes a day. Ask The Daily Mail if they could possibly start using filters. Wear exquisite hats!”

Hulu has announced that they have given Marvel's Runaways a full series order. They initially only ordered the pilot series. The streaming service obviously liked what they see and they want to give it a shot!
The parents are part of a crime organization known as The Pride, which is "a group which hosts an annual "charity" gathering that serves as a meeting place for nefarious time-travelers, wizards, mad scientists, aliens and mutants."
The series stars Rhenzy Feliz (Teen Wolf, Casual) as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano (The Affair,...

Marvel has announced the cast of its upcoming Hulu series The Runaways, and it includes six young actors I'm not familiar with at all. Below you'll find photos of each actor along with a description of the character that they'll be playing in the series. Before we get to that, here's a brief plot summary that they offered:
Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? “Marvel’s Runaways” is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe–their parents.
When talking about the cast that they've gathered together for this series, Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television, said:
"The fun and chemistry that this group of talented actors create is wonderful and we’re so excited to bring these beloved characters to life."

Marvel has had an interesting run with their TV shows. While we had our doubts about how everything would turn out when it became clear that they’d have properties spread out across separate networks and streaming services, it all seems to be coming together. Rather than horde their franchises to the same safe, Disney-owned entity, they divvied up their properties based on demographic. The more general stuff would go on ABC, the adult stuff on Netflix, and the teen stuff would go on other services, like Hulu.
Their first foray into the more teen-centric space with Marvel’s Runaways. Don’t recognize the name? No worries. The I.P. has nowhere near the recognizability of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the like, but we’ve seen Marvel work wonders with relatively obscure characters and properties. At the end of the day, that red Marvel logo and overall execution...

It’s been a busy few days in the Marvel camp – when is it not? – after we caught wind of Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph landing the title roles in the upcoming Cloak and Dagger TV series earlier this week.

When I received The Hollow for the intentions of reviewing I was smacked in the face by two such names, William Sadler (Shawshank, Die Hard 2) and William Forsythe (Things to Do in Denver When Your Dead, The Rock). Neither actor is setting the world on fire as of late but as a movie fan you know your about to get some solid performances. I was not wrong.

I’ve taken part in outdoor Halloween decorating nearly as long as I’ve been alive, but it’s only over the last five years or so that I’ve been having Halloween parties with friends and family. Every year, it gets a little more elaborate, and I’ve learned a lot about what to do (and what not to do) along the way. Here are my tips and tricks for your upcoming Halloween party:
Pick a Theme
No matter what your budget is, pick a theme for your party, even if it’s only loosely followed. This will help with your playlist, food, and drinks. It can also be a great way to help invited guests pick a costume. As an added bonus, send out invites that match your theme to get your guests into the spirit of your party ahead of time. The ending of that film saw Tucci's character align with Wahlberg's Cade Yeager and the Autobots, so expect his story to pick up not long after. Over the weekend, director Michael Bay revealed Bumblebee's slick new look in Transformers: The Last Knight. This is a custom-built 2016 Camaro from General Motors. The character has gotten a new car design for every film, and as cool as this one is, I'm still waiting for the day we see him go back to the Volkswagon Bug look, because it'd be pretty damn funny.
Bumblebee is a fan-favorite character in the franchise, and he's scheduled to get his own solo film in 2018. I imagine The Last Knight will help set up that storyline. My expectations for these upcoming Transformers films are low. I'm not expecting them to be much better than what we've already seen. Regardless of the mediocrity of these films, they still make a ridiculous amount of money, which is why Paramount Pictures will keep making them.

Ahead of its production start date, Paramount Pictures has announced that Academy Award-winner Sir Anthony Hopkins (Thor: Ragnarok) has signed on for a key role in Transformers: The Last Knight. Further details on his role were unavailable, but it's presumed he'll be portraying a human character and not voicing one of the larger-than-life robots. Hopkins joins a cast that already features Mark Wahlberg (Patriots Day), Josh Duhamel (11.22.63), Isabela Moner (100 Things To Do Before High School), and Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors 2: Soroity Rising). Michael Bay (13 Hours: The Secret Service Of Benghazi) is once again in the director's chair. Art Marcum (Iron Man), Matt Holloway (Iron Man), and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) penned the script. Check out the announcement tweet below: The man, the myth, the legend – help us welcome Sir Anthony Hopkins to the #transformers universe. pic.twitter.com/PfkTuWZHD9 — #Transformers (@transformers) June 3, 2016 Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters June 23, 2017 Follow @KingPatel7 !function(d,...

The Transformers film franchise has been able to attract the names of some very respectable actors over the years like Stanely Tucci, Jon Voight, Jon Turturro, Frances McDormand, Kelsey Grammer, and more. I don't know what attracts them to these films other than money, but Sir Anthony Hopkins is the latest actor to join the upcoming film Transformers: The Last Knight. The news was posted the film's official twitter account:

There's no information on who Hopkins will be playing, but he's either going to be some kind of government official, a crazed conspiracy theorist, or maybe even the voice of one of the villains. I personally think it would be awesome if he ended up providing the voice of Unicron, who we previously speculated could be in this movie.

Paramount Pictures has announced that the official title for the fifth installment of director Michael Bay's Transformers film franchise will be titled Transformers: The Last Knight. They even released the title treatment for the movie that you can see above.
The cast for the film has also been confirmed. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Cade Yeager and he will be joined by Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School, Growing Up Fisher) who will be taking on the film’s female lead, Izabella. Then there's Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors), who is set to play an unspecified leading role.
Transformers: The Last Knight is being written by Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway along with Black Hawk Down writer Ken Nolan. It would be pretty cool if we actually got a great Transformers movie, but I won't hold my breath for that. These films just have gotten progressively worse.

Team Experience is at the Tribeca Film Festival. Here's Jason on Detour.
You know what will make me feel like it's the late 1990s again real quick? (If you answered "There's a Clinton in the White House" you're a little ahead of yourself, but just by a few months.) What will make me feel like it's the late 1990s again real quick is watching a movie about verbose criminals getting themselves into hyper-violent timeline-warping shenanigans - Things To Do In Denver When You're 8 Heads In A Duffel Bag; that ol' Pulp Fiction addiction.
Do you guys remember that time Oliver Stone tried to out-Tarantino Tarantino (even though Tarantino was always really trying to out-Stone Stone) and made U Turn? That's the Tarantino-ish that Detour reminded me the most of. And U Turn's not a bad thing to be reminded of! U Turn is nuts, in a never not entertaining way!

Michael Bay is coming back for Transformers 5, and so is Mark Wahlberg, who joined the franchise in Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Who else can we expect to be involved in the fifth entry to the series that began in 2007, based on the famous toy line? According to The Wrap, the production is eyeballing a 14 year old starlet from the Nickelodeon network.
The site reports that a source close to the Transformers 5 camp has revealed that Isabela Moner is being pursued by Paramount for a role in the film. The prevailing theory is that she'd play a character in the script named, appropriately, Izabella. Izabella is a street-smart orphan who knows her way around, and happens to have one friend in the world: A small transformer she met somewhere along the way. Somewhere along the way, she'll cross paths with Wahlberg's Cade Yeager.

Rising 14-year-old actress and singer Isabela Moner (Nickelodeon's "100 Things to Do Before High School") is being eyed for a leading role opposite Mark Wahlberg in the fifth "Transformers" film at Paramount Pictures.
Moner is poised to play the young female lead of Izabella, a street-smart tomboy who grew up an orphan and was raised in foster care. She counts a small Transformer as her only friend… until she meets Wahlberg's heroic inventor Cade Yeager.
Michael Bay is returning to direct the project which Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto will produce and Steven Spielberg will executive produce. Production is slated to start this summer in Detroit ahead of a June 2017 release.

Hold on to your hats, Guardians, Bungie’s finally provided details on the long-awaited Spring update that’s headed to Destiny very soon. Having previously been going by the name of the far less exciting name of Destiny Update 2.2.0, the game’s April Update will roll out in full on April 12 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
As promised, the patch will be available free for all owners of last year’s The Taken King expansion, and will introduce the following new features:
New Pve Challenges New and Updated Gear New Quest featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike Increased Max Light and Rewards Sandbox and Crucible Updates
Sounds promising, but is it a case of too little, too late? It’s certainly no secret that Destiny‘s been severely lacking in any meaningful content over the last several months, and since the release of The Taken King expansion towards the end of last year,...

Dipping into its content library of ’90s generational touchstones, Nickelodeon has greenlighted a live-action TV movie inspired by its game show Legends of the Hidden Temple. The original gamer had kids competing to nab treasures from a Mayan temple, a premise seemingly ready-made for a narrative treatment: Three siblings take on a life-or-death Indiana Jones-ish mission. The Legends telepic will star Isabela Moner, a Nick vet from 100 Things To Do Before High School, and…...

As the pendulum of youth culture's nostalgia continues to swing away from the 1980s and slide firmly into the area of the '90s, Nickelodeon is seeking to capitalize on that by bringing back two of its beloved television shows in the form of TV movies. Variety reports that the network is working on a live-action adaptation of Legends of The Hidden Temple, the classic game show that aired from 1993-1995.
In “Hidden Temple,” three siblings must conquer a series of obstacles to remain alive, mirroring the theme of the original game show. The TV movie, slated to appear in the fourth quarter of 2016, will nod to other elements from the original show, including Olmec, a talking head who knows the secrets behind the temple; the Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar and silver snakes,...

In the wake of films like Battleship and The Lego Movie, it seems like nothing is immune from the Hollywood treatment. Angry Birds is hitting the big screen soon, and even crazy, "how in the world can the do this?" properties like Monopoly and emojis have been in development for some time. With all that in mind, and the tendency for Hollywood to mine our childhoods in hopes of hitting our nostalgia bones, it should come as no surprise that Legends Of The Hidden Temple would be getting a movie of some sort. Sure, the series was actually just a game show with a "temple" theme over it, but a lot of its spirit could surely be captured and used in a narrative movie.
But don't expect this film to hit the big screen. According to Variety, this one will be a TV film. Last November, it was reported that Hey Arnold!

You're going to the temple! Ok, maybe not you. But someone is. Nickelodeon has decided to bring back their classic 90s kid's game show, Legends of the Hidden Temple, as a fictional TV movie. And hey, guess what? "Hey Arnold!" is getting revived too. It's true, Variety is reporting Nickelodeon will announce the news as part of their advertising upfronts this week. Legends of the Hidden Temple ran from 1993-1998 on the network and had a rather odd premise as far as game shows were concerned. The game took place in what was meant to be a Mayan temple (and surrounding areas like a giant moat) and teams of kids (one girl, one boy) had to solve both mental and physical challenges in order to progress. Did I mention there was a giant talking Olmec head? The head was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who also did double duty as the announcer,...

Back to the Future left fans with plenty of burning questions. One of them: How exactly did Doc Brown weasel a full supply of plutonium out of a group of Libyan nationalists? That’s the question answered by a fan-made trailer for a fake Back to the Future prequel titled 1.21 Gigawatts. The all-important amount of power that propels the DeLorean through time had to come from somewhere. We know Doc Brown fooled the Libyans when he built them a “bomb” full of used pinball machine parts. What we didn’t know is Doc was basically the star of his own political thriller in his endeavor to get that plutonium. Below, watch the excellent trailer that seamlessly edits together clips from a number of movies: Edited by fan Tyler Hopkins, the trailer uses clips from Back to the Future (of course); Christopher Lloyd movies My Favorite Martian, Camp Nowhere, Things to Do...

Subliminal Criminal: Haley’s Debut Feloniously Familiar
There’s a certain amount of smarmy appeal to justify Jackie Earle Haley’s attraction to taking on Criminal Activities, the actor’s first stint as director. Updating a script written by Robert Lowell (a man who has been deceased since 1977), Haley updates the action to modern day Cleveland, but this mob affiliated kidnap caper feels exactly like direct-to-video fodder from the mid to late 90’s modeling snappy, impressionistic dialogue around loopy bits of violence and pronounced plot twists, a common template following the success of Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction (1994). An intriguing ensemble cast heightens a certain interest in the film’s rudimentary wiles, but exaggerated characterizations distract from an inevitable plot twist only unexpected because it’s not particularly notable.
