I've seen this short a couple of times over the last ten or so years and judging from my imdb scores, it has diminished in value for me over that time.
It is very well shot and one cannot complain at all about the two young actors who give it their all in capturing the ennui, bitterness, rebelliousness and alienation of youth.
My problem is that this is just a depiction, not really an interpretation. We see nothing about the backgrounds of either the protagonists, and thus have no understanding of how they ended up being so disillusioned.
Since the girl is more street smart than the younger male, one also felt an unresolved sexual tension: which led exactly nowhere.
Finally, the ending left me flat and quite unresolved.
Very good: as far as it went. I just wish it'd gone further.
