In "the x-impulse" Kurt is late for school and the high school principal catches him but Scott comes to rescue. We see Kitty for the first time. The professor and Jean are going after her. Logan was followed by an enemy on his way home so he must fight him now. He leaves on his motorcycle and Scott and Kurt saw him. They decide to follow. Meanwhile Kitty gets to school and some mean girls lock her inside her locker. She gets out by using her powers but not meaning to and this guy Avalanche/Lance Alvers sees her. She gets freaked out. After a small incident that Avalanche causes to help Kitty, Jean introduce herself to her. Kitty gets confused and she doesn't know ho to trust: Jean or Lance. Kurt and Scott find Wolverine and watch them fight. Scott's car gets ruined after that and they enter in the fight. Wolverine gets mad on them because of that. Kitty goes to meet Lance to help her control her powers. He makes her brake into the principal's office to get the test answers. Kitty changes her mind about Lance but he doesn't let her go. Avalanche destroys the school and Kitty's parents are trapped inside with her and Jean. And finally Kitty saves the day! Mystique invites Lance to her high school, the high school where all the x-men teenagers study.
