There's almost 3 stories working in this movie. It's a shame it's overplotted. This episode has a really funny scene where Erin falls in the pig pen. It seems a little static at times, also. I'm raising the grade one star due to it showing a positive view of foster parenting. And Erin and Mary Ellen paint a touching view of sisters. Also you couldn't have comedic elements to a movie without someone falling in the water. This episode provides a preview of what the series would be like two years later, since Richard Thomas only plays a minor part in this one. Still he has some good seasons. Good guest star appearances make this a winner, also.
