Nothing monochromatic here

Absolutely love Buster and Babs as characters, always have. Their comic timing is so witty and zany when the material is particularly great and they are very compelling and enormously fun characters, with chemistry that never fails to sparkle. It is always great when an episode, single story or segment structured, centres around them and while the episodes that do so have varied in quality they are all worth watching in their own way.

"Two Tone Town" certainly is well worth watching. Actually thought it was great and among the better Buster and Babs-centric episodes, well the single story structured ones anyhow. The premise may not be original, but it is handled in a hugely entertaining, wacky and affectionate fashion, things that any episode of 'Tiny Toon Adventures' should be. "Two Tone Town" is not one of the best episodes of the show, but is still great and executes its premise incredibly well.

First and foremost, the animation is very good. It is vibrantly coloured and beautifully rich in detail, not just the backgrounds but also the expressions and reactions of the characters which are wonderfully loony. The contrast of the usually vibrant colours and the monochrome look of the setting. The music is dynamic and characterful as always and the theme song has always brought a smile to my face. Something that was the case when a child and still is now.

Dialogue is witty and affectionate, cannot get enough of Buster and Babs' rapport and the smart, affectionate and never random references. The story has a great atmosphere and lively in pace, the energy is actually constant and irresistible, despite it being quite predictable.

Buster and Babs are on top form, especially Babs with her impressions. Always get a kick out of Mae West being parodied and animation and Babs' is priceless. Foxy and Goopy are compelling characters and identifiable in their situation. The conflict is slightly over the top, but not enough to unbalance the story. The voice acting is very good, exemplary in Tress MacNeille's case.

In conclusion, great. 9/10.
