The Honorable Profession is a solid episode! Well directed, acted and written. What I like about The Honorable Profession is the strong start of a Drug Store robbery, and a straight lace Doctor witness. Rick from Magnum is one of the robbers, which is slick and Stone needs a witness to get the scum bags in jail. Mr Brady from the old Brady Bunch, is the doctor. The Honorable Profession story twist is the good D R is a fake. Keller and Stone, must track the doctor down for the robbery case to stick. The fake doctor has a side story, with much character development of the man, the profession and why the doctor ended up as a fake. With the many twists and turns and intertwining of characters with several sub stories makes the viewer wanting more for what is about to happen next! I will not ruin the ending. The conclusion ties up all lose ends into a memorable climax. 8 stars.

While this episode is truly a paean to great acting and a precious San Francisco, it is also a valentine to Mr Robert Reed - and a panorama of his acting chops as they are being expressed through his soul...
This is really a love story between him and his patient, an older woman played with the same soul filled expression as Mr Reed.
The villain is nasty, the fun people are fun and Rosanna DeSoto holds her own as impeccably as always.
