Who can not like the title Clown of Death! Maybe, Circus of death or even Death Circus would be better, but I digress. Before peta got involved and Circus got closed down the old Circus was a big thing when I was a kid. Wild Animal acts, dare devil stunts and of course clowns. As a kid watching the show I know the Circus back ground was the hook to suck the viewer in. There is a murder which leads Keller and Stone to the Circus. And then a string of murders. Clown of Death becomes another murder mystery with all the cliché of the genre. Not bad. Well acted and directed. I give Clown of Death 6 stars.

A former circus employee is murdered by a clown.
A very good episode. A disturbing scene where we see the evil clown disconnect the victim from a respirator in a hospital. David Birney (Bridget Loves Bernie) is a high wire walker and main suspect. Madelyn Rhue (sexy redhead who was in the Space Seed episode of Star Trek) is a sarcastic pony rider. Lynne Marta (in many guest appearances in several TV shows of the time, like Barnaby Jones and Medical Center). Most entertaining part of the show is Stone's fascination with the circus, he even goes undercover as a clown.
