History gone wrong.

A malevolent force has been released from the locked room, it manages to lock Sapphire in a room, and tries to make her part of events, events of murder.

It's quite intelligent science fiction, I am definitely not surprised as to how and why this show has such a cult following, and why it was recommended to me.

I wondered if it was intended specifically for a younger audience, but my opinion has shifted somewhat in this third episode, the subject matter is a little murkier, the reason for Sapphire's placing in that room, quite macabre.

Considering the time that this was made, it features some rather decent special effects, the ghostly Roundhead figures look pretty effective.

7/10.

Assignment One: Part 3

I realised watching this episode that it is some way reminiscent of the final story of the series which led to a contentious conclusion to the television series.

Rob saw something from the time of the English civil war but ran away to call for help. Sapphire and Steel walk into a trap.

Something sinister manifesting as a pool of light has escaped from the locked room and gone inside a picture of a cottage. It brings Sapphire into the cottage.

Steel sees this as an illusion but Sapphire feels scared, she could be lost if Sapphire really believes she is in that cottage.

The danger is heightened as something bad happened there once.

Both Sapphire and Steel were earlier discussing that time was going haywire. Anachronistic events were taking place, it was a diversion.

Although Steel shows his other worldly side as he has little knowledge of British history. Sapphire again shows her tender side as she hold Rob when soldiers appear.
