This one sees Templar on the trail of some stolen paintings and as usual a duplicitous girl is involved in the mayhem. Fast-paced and efficient, it may not be particularly outstanding but it does the job, and it's fun to see young guest actors Geoffrey Bayldon and Peter Bowles in the cast.

Mildly enjoyable episode

The Saint, in Paris, meets a girl who is selling her family's art treasures before someone tries to steal them. Simon doubts her fear and seeks the truth.
A mildly enjoyable film, though it can be quite confusing and it's not a standout episode. Just ok.

Superlative Saint

Warning: Spoilers
Ann Bell is a refugee with 3 valuable paintings (lost Leonardos, no less) she hopes to unload on a Parisian art dealer (Geoffrey Bayldon). Only, two groups of villains are after the artwork.
Peter Bowles is the leader of one group, doing his version of Inspector Clouseau. His accent is pure Pink Panther.
Lots of clever tricks and surprises. Scattered bits of Roger Moore type humor (Templar stretching his back, for instance, climbing out of a crate) combined with tongue-in-cheek running back and forth.
If, like me, you prefer your Saints delightfully droll with a less-serious attitude toward life, enjoy this one.
