For some reason this episode delighted me. It gave us a nice view of the characters in a little different setting. I have never cared for Matthew's character, but this time he was so naturally kind. His interaction with that beautiful young woman (who was never in his wheelhouse anyway) was really precious. We saw Kenny and Max have a quiet time at the police station, each facing loneliness. Henry and Wambaugh relive some gentler times in their lives after a good friend dies. And Jill and Jimmy find an interesting way to spend the Saturday night.
