Audrey Miller is mugged after leaving a pub, when she's discovered, a stash of forged money is found on her.
This is the only episode so far, that I found a real effort, thirteen episodes is quite run, and maybe there's a degree of series fatigue. I can't criticise the acting, but in comparison to other episodes, the storyline was weak, the villains low key, and the pacing was somehow so sluggish.
It's the first episode to use so much comedy, so you could argue that they tried something different, for me though, it just doesn't work, John Carlisle seemed to have a blast, Alan has some dressing up, some comedy moments, but it's all so at odds with the snappy, straight laced copper from series one, I'm not sure the writer nailed the character here.
Not the best, but not totally without merit, 5/10.
