City slickers can't handle country living, although Frank really tries by pretending he's sleeping outside, when they go to see Murphy's new farm (that she is thinking of buying) in the country. They are ready to kill Corky and Will, back from Los Angeles finally, and showing amour and Jim's back seat which puts poor Doris in the mood and pulls Jim out of it. Both Doris and Miles have accidents outside, and Frank sneaks back in after dark to stay warm and rushes outside in the morning to pretend he was out all night. Pretty soon, everybody is staying inside rather than enjoying the beauty of nature with the exception of Murphy (busy churning butter!), and it doesn't take much after a visit from neighbors from Murphy to make a final decision. Too bad they didn't create some fake outside sets to give an indication of what the land around them looked like so this is completely set bound although the farm house is definitely very rustic looking. Irony over plans for the area gives an interesting twist that really shows a lack of interest in the land as suburban dwellers change their minds about life in the country versus life in the city.
