Thirty, a ripe old age for a nervous breakdown.

Warning: Spoilers
The always funny Grant Shaud really goes overboard in getting laughs as Miles works his way up to a near collapse as he faces the entrance of his fourth decade. Overwork and stress and the fear of getting older has him rushed to the hospital with a hernia during a party at Murphy's, and it becomes very apparent that there's much more to it than that. Girlfriend Audrey hangs around as long as she can put up with him, and Murphy ends up taking the burden of his care. It becomes apparent too that he's gaining more stress and high blood pressure by trying to avoid stress and high blood pressure rather than just simply living. Even though everybody but Corky is way over 30, the party is more like a funeral for the living with everybody weeping, wearing black and Jim showing up as the grim reaper, having just scared of achievers out of Sam Donaldson off screen. It's a very funny episode that mocks the aging process and ridicules killing yourself over your career. Murphy proves herself once again to be a very loyal friend even though she can be pretty brusque as well. She also proves that her loyalty can sometimes add stress, especially when confronting someone in a men's clothing store who picked up a sweater that Miles have looked at then put down to look at something else. Even though the other man wasn't exactly polite, he was right in this situation, and if miles wanted the sweater that bad, he should have hung on to it.
