Will Murphy jump a securely floating ship to set sail on a brand new vessel?

With Murphy's contract up for renewal, the owner of (presumably) a new cable news station reaches out to her to give her her own new show. She is quite tempted, especially when he sends over a very efficient secretary to sweeten the pot and gives her her favorite purple roses. Robert Desiderio plays the cable network owner whose charm and handsome looks could sweeten any pot, but if Miles has his own way, the pot containing her contract will be greatly sweetened and nutritioned. This is an interesting look at what goes on behind the scenes at contract renewal time and how new demands of established TV personalities can make or break their future. Good strong intelligent writing and great performances by Candice Bergen and Grant Shaud makes this a strong episode if not a laugh out loud funny one.
