Ron Howard guest starred as a bratty boy who suddenly found himself ward to Majoyr Mapoy. In this episode, I've been able to conclude that the actor who played the major was no longer available to play on the show. I think that's another reason this show probably failed. Major Mapoy's character brought a level to the show that made it even more interesting - same with the Wales...

In this episode, Kathleen decided she wasn't doing enough to educate her brothers and sister. Trying to ask the major for help only got her into a lot more trouble, and possibly more than she could ever handle alone! Instead of getting the books and one student to help her with teaching her siblings, she got a whole lot of students that caused a whole lot of trouble.

Jim's character was pretty swell in this episode. He was appalled when Kathleen read "Alice in Wonderland" and someone shouting "off with her head!" That's quite amusing, since Indians were famous for scalping...Jim's declaration at the end of this to read "Alice of Happyland" was also quite humorous.

Clayt, as usually, seemed to do a whole lot of whining and didn't offer much help. He did give his brother a whipping after he pulled a prank, but other than that he left Kathleen on her own to figure out all the trouble...
