Mr. Parker's mother must be ahead of her time....

Great episode.... But I wonder if anyone else picked up on the continuity slip when Mr. Parker complaints to the rest of the crew that crewman Happy Haines swiped the picture of his (Ensign Parker) mother from his hut while sleep walking. Mr. Parker exclaims it's the picture of his mother in a Bikini. The "Bikini" wasn't invented until 1946 and was named after the island chain where the post-war atomic bombs were being tested in the Pacific Ocean area.

Started off weak but ended strong.

This episode started out rather silly when Happy (Gavin MacLeod) feels that because he is bald he is not attractive to women. It goes as far as Happy sleep-walking across the island taking all the pictures of pin-up gals from other sailors. But with the help from the female nurses, and a hair piece, McHale hopes to show Happy that women are still attractive to him and stop his sleep-walking.

In the meantime Binghamton has placed an order for enlisted men to leave nurses alone. Her even posted new orders that if an enlisted man is seen close to the nurses barracks, he is to be shot. And with orders for the nurses not to leave the barracks without written permission it looks hopeless for Happy. But McHale has a plan.

The way this episode began it did not look promising for a good story. But as we progressed into the plot the story became more interesting and enjoyable. And with the high spirited Shelia James in the cast it prove to be an alright show. Nice watch.
