Robert Vaughn plays agent Napoleon Solo while David McCallum, plays Illya Kuryakin, Leo G Carroll plays Mister Waverly, the boss of the secret agency known as U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law & Enforcement) Their main enemy is THRUSH, an organization out to take over the planet.
THRUSH agents Hans Gudegast (Eric Braeden) has a new type of listening device to spy on UNCLE headquarters. He is assigned to the THRUSH office ran by Ray Danton. Danton runs his operation out of a popular discotheque. The device needs to be installed in the old brownstone apartment building next to UNCLE headquarters.
The perfect apartment is being rented by Judi West. West is in New York hoping to become an actress on Broadway. Danton gives her a job at his disco so THRUSH can gain entrance to her apartment and plant the super bug.
When several UNCLE missions go wrong, they are sure someone has gotten hold of UNCLE info. They soon tumble to the listening device and take countermeasures. They dispose of Gudegast and trace the THRUSH types back to the disco.
To cut to the quick, Miss West is recruited now by UNCLE to get the goods on Danton and his bunch. It turns out that Danton's place is a main holding area for THRUSH records. Needless to say UNCLE would love a gander at these. Next thing we know, there are bodies piling up and fires being set off to destroy evidence.
An enjoyable spy romp with plenty of action and nicely time humour. Besides Danton, the THRUSH types include Harvey Lembeck as the second in command at the disco and Evelyn Ward as Danton's squeeze. Danton is quite good here as the smooth talking ladies man.
