Remember that James Bond movie with Teri Hatcher and Vincent Schiavelli? They first appeared together here in "Soft Touch."
Sciavelli, who could be very funny (check out "Better Off Dead"), is straight here as a hit man who thinks his plot is uncovered by Penny Parker (Hatcher).
I don't like whining types and I never cared for Hatcher but I love Penny Parker. Any episode with Penny is worth a watch.
Also in the mix is Elya Baskin as a Soviet defector poet enjoying his first taste of freedom and who understands the documents of American freedom better than most Americans. I hate for America to lose its freedom but something has to shake us out of our own apathy.
Not altogether fun with an assassination in the offing, but has its share of good times between Penny and the defector, both of whom are excellent.
