When the story begins, a private charter airplane crashed...killing everyone aboard. However, the police are suspicious because one of the three passengers didn't show up for the flight and they wonder if he is responsible for the accident...if it was an accident.
The story mostly consists of people who knew all three men talking about which one they think was the one who skipped out on the plane. Most seemed to think Harry was the con man who sabotaged the plane but Hester thinks he is (or was) amazing. In many ways, listening to folks recount Harry, Ferguson and Morgan is reminiscent of "Roshomon"...except "Roshomon" wasn't boring and was well acted. For me, the story was awfully talky and Hester was an overwrought and hard to believe character who alone knocked a few points off my rating. William Shatner and the rest are pretty good...Patricia Bosworth (Hester) seemed too emotional and too much...period.
