Enjoyable episode

The usual Knight Rider magic full of action and karate moves from the Hoff is in display with a Japan martial arts mystical flavour thrown in as he and Kitt have to deal with a deadly weapon, but the humour of seeing Devon's face expression when Elliott accidentally wrecks his trophies is really rib- tickling and the character of Elliott is endearing and funny. Great finale where Kitt got ten seconds before the lazer start to penetrate through is tense.

One of the very best and funniest episodes

Warning: Spoilers
I've just watched this episode on bluray and it's absolutely brilliant. So funny. I watched knight rider on release way back in the 80s. I've always loved the series. It's pure 80s cheese. Back to this episode. Classics like Elliot destroying Devons prize possessions are priceless as is Devons stiff upper lip reactions. Elliot is simply brilliant as the well intentioned bumbling gentleman. Knight ride was always about honour, honesty and being a gentleman. Much like magnum. This episode has people leaping up and down screaming, whacking people, car races and it had elliot. He's perfect. A perfect episode. If you want realism then watch something else. However, if you want old fashioned innocent nonsense then watch this. It's a scream. Just don't take it seriously.

Enjoy Knight Rider series, but worst episode ever
Zehzahl25 May 2013
I love the Knight Rider series. I grew up with it as a kid and I've hoped it would soon be remastered on Blu-ray (or on-demand) so I can re-watch it.

Prior to this, I've never posted a review on IMDb but, I just finished watching this particular episode of KR and, I'm sorry to say, it's just awful.

In this episode, the lines are cheesy beyond belief, the acting is poor, the supporting characters (not the main reoccurring ones) are uninteresting and annoying, and the story line and how the scenes are played out are the worst I've seen.

It ended with the most cringeworthy bits of laughter I've ever heard from the main actors. The whole episode was almost unbearable to watch. Was TV really this bad back then? It had me wondering whether I want to spend time re-watching this series.

Revenge of the nerd

The new character is lame and goes out of his way to be stereotypical. The storyline was tired and overly used with an expected ending. They at least attempted to switch up the typical trope of Michael getting the girl.
