Gretchen Franklin plays Auntie Lil who is visiting her family.
She has been recently widowed and brings a trunk containing memorabilia of her and her husband's time together over the years.
Uncle Mort remarks that each time Auntie Lil moved home, they took a piece of the house with her.
However the family do not seem to be too keen in drinking sarsaparilla in a temperance bar. Especially one that is in the doldrums.
It all leads to everyone thinking that Auntie Lil has also been run over after she storms out after an altercation with Pat.
Auntie Lil does not have much time for the aspirational Pat. She thinks that Carter is being hemmed in by Pat just as Auntie Lil thinks that she was held back while married. She now wishes she went for proposals from other men.
This was not as funny as the first two episodes. It was unusual to hear Gretchen Franklin doing a northern accent.
I did like Pat and Carter's developing story. They may be going out but yet to see each other naked. Poor Carter, no wonder his eyes always light up when he sees Linda Preston.
