Classic Sorbo, Classic Campbell

I love the series and always did since it came out, and here is the reason why. Hercules is of course the titular hero, but thrown into the mix are memorable characters like Autylocus, the king of thieves. Played by Bruce Campbell, the character of the thief has to be one of my favorite across both the HErc and Xena franchises. In this episode The thief Autylocus tries to steal the chronos stone, named no doubt after the king of the ancient titans themselves. The sotne is porported to manipulate time, and as the episode description says, it does. Herc is transported 5 years into the past, and, ever the goodly hypocrite, goes against his own morals and saves lives that were otherwise already lost in the past before. He comes upon his love, the Hind female that he once lost, but is beset by overwhelming emotions, and Ares and Stryfe. More than anything, I love how once Autylocus meets his younger self, the two have the all too familiar comical fight , just like in the Evil Dead series and Army of Darkness film. Hearing " goody little two-shoes" brougth a smile to my face and I remember why I love Campbell and Raimis works. This was a bitter sweet episode, but one that adds to the love I still have for these shows, now pushing over 20 years old. Cheers heroes. ^^

Good Enough

As a fan im good with all the episodes even campy ones. This one was enjoyable I just had a hard time getting past Sam Jenkins not being the Hind in this one. She should have been paid enough to come back. Im actually surprised everytime I watch this show of just how many times characters/actors are changed out. However I still love it..

End of the Beginning

I loved the character of the Golden Hind in the series HERCULES< THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS, portrayed superbly by Sam Jenkins, now Kevin Sorbo's Wife. But Sam Jenkins no longer wanted to play the golden hind, so Kara Zediker was tapped to play it. Visually much smaller in frame and height, I though Kara Zediker did a fantastic job. The same mask and costume was obviously used, but her acting as the Hind was very sincere and touching. I found her scenes with Kevin Sorbo showed more emotion. She went on to do work in Charmed, Star Trek which she was very good in. Its a shame she did not play the character again. Its worth a watch.
