I think it was really important that they did an episode like this. We all know how Chandler used to be with girls. Super shallow, intolerant of any tiny flaw that his girlfriends have. This episode was a demonstration of how much he's grown as a character and as a person. Despite the fat jokes he was making about Julie (he uses jokes as a defense mechanism), at the end, he really owned up to what he did, and he settled Monica'a understandable fear that he would be intolerant of her weight gain.
Joey and Ross's nap story is brilliantly hilarious. They're both trying to be macho men, but deep down, they just want to snuggle.
And the maid of honor thing was okay, but it was kind of annoying. It was painfully obvious from the beginning how much more it meant to Rachel than to Phoebe. Plus, she has known Monica her entire life. She grew up with her watching her plan her wedding. There is no good reason why Phoebe should be the maid of honor instead of Rachel. But I did like at the end that Rachel came to terms with it, despite how much it meant to her, and not only did she congratulate Phoebe, but she also gave her stuff to help her out. I'm also glad that Phoebe saw what was going on and gave it to Rachel. It really showed the warm side of Phoebe that we haven't seen in forever.
