Pretend its from the earlier seasons

I have read the reviews, it seems some of them are filled with what I call later season prejudice. Hating episodes just because they come from the later seasons of the series.

This episode is pretty funny. Frasier wants to run for president of the apartment, again. He had his father run with him because he is more likable by the tenants. The plan, have father win, and Frasier will then act as president. The father does win. That is where the fun begins. Soon a power struggle embraces between father and son. However it surprising ends well for Frasier. The father learns a lesson in politics. Giving people what they want doesn't always give you a big round of appreciation.

The side plot of Roz, Niels and Daphne is okay, the main story makes up for it. I laughed many times.

Power Hungry

Frasier gets Martin elected condo chair so he can work on things behind the scenes. Martin follows his sons directions and does a good job. Soon Martin gets a little caught up in his power position. Meanwhile, Daphne and Niles begin to treat Roz in an appropriate way, based on her little slip up. It turns cruel.

Warning: Spoilers
Nothing really too terribly funny or entertaining. I had it playing in the backround, and I don't think I really had any involuntary laughs. Maybe a handful of smiles or smirks.

Back and forth with Frasier and Martin on condo board stuff...

and Daphne and Niles play with Roz about her mishearing menage. Eh. Funniest part was probably the big guys at the coffee shop expressing interest. But even that was still pretty bland.

I had this a 7, but upon another watch, had to drop it to 6.

Proxy Prexy

By the standards of 'Frasier' from Series eight onwards this is a decent episode.

But it's not great by any stretch of the imagination, and I can't say I enjoyed it very much.

The plot is predictable, you can see where it's going from the minute it kicks into life, and it again presents Frasier's less than attractive traits.

The 'B' plot involving Daphne/Niles and Roz at least tries to do something different, but I can't say that it works overly well either.

'Frasier' seems to be ailing by this point, unsure of its direction, and what stories it wants to tell.

So yes, perfectly fine, but not excellent.
