The Fall of Dallas

Warning: Spoilers
The REAL decline of "Dallas" starts after this episode. People can say what they want, but the 1986-1987 season was "Dallas" back to it roots and a really good season. The season ends with Pam crashing her car into a tanker as Victoria Principal leaves the series. "Dallas" never felt the same again. Yes, there are good episodes post this one, but not THAT good. Don't miss out on J.R:s confrontation with Jeremy Wendell towards the end of this episode, a true classic for any fan, with J.R:s famous words "Wendell, you touch that painting and I'll kill you where you stand!" And, although he was no fighting ninja, J.R truly meant it.

Never the same after this one

Warning: Spoilers
I grew-up with this show in 1980's and enjoyed it with my mom (most) every Friday night. When this show aired, I was entering Soph year in HS. Season 9 was tough to handle when Bobby was gone-- But we rekindled hope the next season when Pam awoke from dream.

There was just so much lost and "out-of-sorts" after this season to void Dallas of the foundation it was built. I especially feel this void when I re-watch the series and all that occurred. I really find it tough to continue watching after this season because the greatness and foundation is gone.

I know many (including me) were enthused and interested in Bobby/Pam. But an underrated relationship that I had interest was between Ray and Donna. I feel great loss when Donna left the show .. It was an interesting dynamic between her and Ray, though they often endured similar conflicts. If there was ever anything good to come out of Pam's "dream" season-- it was Ray and Donna's rekindling and growth in relationship. But it was lost in 10th season and never got it back.

I re-watched the entire series one time BUT I truly believe that this is the final show that I would ever go in re-watching.. I just think the characters become quite lame in subsequent seasons.
