In the beginning, when they see the black corvette coming, John says 77 corvette with the wrong plates but in actuality, the corvette is a 1978 model with the front emblem changed!! 78 was the first year of the hatchback glass & the front emblem would be the crosses flags on its own & not the circle emblem!!

Dumb Car Thieves and Even Dumber Cops!

This episode is a mockery all the way around. I watched this episode with a friend of mine who is a retired police captain. He shook his head the whole time and for good reason!
First, the car thieves speed down the road, bringing unnecessary attention. My friend said, "No car thief is going to drive like that."
Second, people in wheelchairs may not have the use of their legs, but their eyes and ears work fine. My friend said, "Gee, I guess they couldn't hear the sirens or notice the cops driving toward them, so they just sat there."
Third, Ponch has his head so far up his you-know-what that he can't see what's right in front of him. My friend said, "I would have had no sympathy for a cop who's that stupid. In fact, I wouldn't want someone like that on my force!" He actually laughed when Ponch's car goes up like a fireball. "Serves him right," my friend said.
Fourth, why does Grossman not investigate the car that went into the water? He'd know that those women had to have come up somewhere? And why does he chase someone at 25mph?
According to my friend, they had one thing going for them: three women who looked like they came right out of Playboy magazine. He laughed and said, "Sure, all female criminals look like that! I've just never come across any!"
This episode is a joke and a slap in the face of real police officers.
