Nehemiah Persoff and Richard Libertini

"Middle Age" finds the squad room commenting on Barney's new reading glasses, to the point where he'd rather not hear about it. Nehemiah Persoff (three episodes) makes the first of two appearances as Hasidic Jew Yacov Berger, the victim of a diamond robbery ("you know, your Shakespeare said he who steals my purse steals trash, don't you believe it!"). Barney suggests that his traditional garb makes for a tempting target for such thievery ("what do you want me to do, wear a disguise?"). Richard Libertini (second of three) plays a 43 year old Olympic trainee who nearly hits an elderly woman with his javelin, warning Levitt not to damage his heavy equipment (Levitt: "I got my own equipment to worry about!"). Dietrich spends much of the show handing out invitations to a weekend party, while Harris dreads being invited but wouldn't appreciate being left out.
