Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Sex is discussed by the characters throughout the film. Several non-nude but very graphic sex scenes are seen including two women kissing repeatedly. Indiscriminate and lesbian sexuality is portrayed. Two women end up in a romantic relationship through a man.

Premarital sex is viewed and portrayed as normal and expected. Adulterous liaisons are depicted and justified.

Violence & Gore

Some intense marital fighting, screaming and slapping. A character is shot in the hand. A character repeatedly tries to commit suicide or shoot her lover.

Profanity

A handful of obscenities including some that are said in Spanish, but are subtitled.

Many characters drink and smoke throughout the course of the film, occasionally to the point of intoxication.

The entire movie is very intense and geared toward adults. The mood is predominantly one of indecision and whether the main character has made a major mistake having sex with a man two weeks before her wedding. This tryst forever changes the way she sees her fiance and eventually her husband. She decides to have an encounter with him again once married. The movie is not a comedy, it is moody and intense, not for kids.

The sexuality is very intense.
